At STEPS, our clinical team is at the heart of the work we do. Every day, our RBTs and BCBAs help children build meaningful skills, gain confidence, and make progress toward greater independence through individualized, evidence-based ABA therapy.
Every child comes to STEPS with their own strengths, skill levels, needs, and goals, which means there is no one set path for progress. Our clinical teams meet each child where they are, developing personalized goals and adapting support as they learn, grow, and reach new milestones.
Whether you’re working directly with a child as an RBT or developing treatment plans and guiding clinical care as a BCBA, your work has the opportunity to make a lasting difference. Together, our teams collaborate with children and families to celebrate progress, navigate challenges, and build skills that can make an impact beyond each therapy session.

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
As a BCBA at STEPS, you’ll lead individualized care by developing treatment plans, guiding clinical decisions, and supporting team members who bring those plans to life. You’ll use your clinical expertise to understand each child’s unique strengths, skill levels, needs, and goals, creating an approach that meets them where they are rather than following a one-size-fits-all path.
Throughout each child’s time at STEPS, you’ll monitor progress, evaluate data, and adapt treatment strategies as their skills and needs evolve. You’ll collaborate closely with families to understand their priorities, provide guidance, and help ensure the skills developed through therapy are meaningful to the child’s everyday life.
BCBAs also play an important leadership role within our clinical teams. You’ll provide ongoing guidance, support, and mentorship to RBTs, helping them confidently implement treatment plans while maintaining high standards of compassionate, evidence-based care.
Your impact reaches beyond the treatment plan. By bringing together clinical expertise, collaboration, and individualized decision-making, you’ll help children build skills that create greater independence, connection, and possibility in their everyday lives.
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT/BT)
As an RBT/BT at STEPS, you’ll work directly with children to help them build meaningful skills in communication, socialization, play, independence, and everyday life. Guided by individualized treatment plans developed around each child’s unique strengths, skill levels, and goals, you’ll provide hands-on support and create opportunities for learning and growth throughout each session.
Working closely with BCBAs and other members of the clinical team, you’ll help children practice new skills, work through challenges at a page that (either) works for them/empowers them, and make progress toward goals that are meaningful to them. Because every child’s journey looks different, your work will adapt to meet them where they are and help them continue moving toward their individual goals.
As an RBT, you’ll be there for the everyday moments that add up to meaningful change: celebrating new skills, growing independence, and progress both big and small. It’s a hands-on role where the relationships you build and the support you provide can make a lasting difference for the children and families you serve.
